SNH showcases Cameroon’s energy potential at the American Data Centers & Ai Conference 2025
Unveiling the Gas-to-Data (G2D) Initiative to position natural gas and geothermal power in driving AI-ready digital infrastructure
SNH took part in the American Data Centers & AI Conference & Exhibition, scheduled for November 19–20, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Hosted by ALJ Group, the event brought together leaders from the data center, energy, and AI industries to explore how expanding AI workloads are reshaping digital infrastructure.
Key discussions awere focusing on energy integration and resilience, including connecting hyperscale data centers to power grids, optimizing grid performance with AI, and deploying low-carbon energy solutions. The conference targeted decision-makers, engineers, infrastructure providers and energy innovators seeking partnerships and technical insights within the rapidly growing AI-driven data centre ecosystem.
As a featured presenter, SNH introduced the Gas-to-Data (G2D) initiative, a national strategy aimed at leveraging Cameroon’s energy assets to attract data center investments and support high-density digital operations. This initiative positions natural gas and geothermal power as reliable, low-carbon energy sources capable of meeting the significant power demands of AI-era data centers while supporting economic growth and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
SNH also showcased how Cameroon’s natural gas and geothermal assets can drive digital growth, industrial development, and sustainable urban planning. The presentations will demonstrate how these resources can underpin the rise of data centers, AI infrastructure and integrated “green city” ecosystems.
