H.E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue visits SNH
A meeting focused on energy cooperation and progress on the cross-border Yoyo/Yolanda project
On 19 November, SNH welcomed His Excellency Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Vice President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, for a working visit dedicated to strengthening energy cooperation between the two countries.
Received by Ms Nathalie Moudiki, Representative of the Executive General Manager, the Vice President held discussions with SNH management on the strategic issues facing the oil and gas sector, as well as on the progress of joint initiatives, notably the Yoyo/Yolanda cross-border project, jointly developed by Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
The exchanges outlined the development framework of the Yoyo–Yolanda cross-border gas field, estimated at 2.5 trillion cubic feet. The adopted scheme includes the construction of two export pipelines and the separate processing of gas at Bipaga and Punta Europa. Partnership opportunities in exploration and production, as well as petroleum logistics were also addressed. The Equatoguinean delegation then took part in a closed-door session with SNH officials to review prospects for operational cooperation.
This high-level visit demonstrates the shared commitment of both States to deepen their collaboration in the hydrocarbons sector and to accelerate the implementation of major regional infrastructure projects.
