Official prices of the Kolé and Lokélé Crude oils set

Prospective exploration, targeted investments and responsible governance were at the heart of discussions during the SNH–PERENCO–ADAX Joint Commission meeting held in Paris on 23 January 2026.

Opening the session, Mrs. Nathalie Moudiki, Representative of the Executive General Manager of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), stressed that “setting crude oil selling prices is neither a routine exercise nor a process driven exclusively by oil market fluctuations. It must take into account global geostrategic dynamics and, above all, the political vision of the State of Cameroon, based on its sovereignty and energy independence".

A panoramic view of the African oil market in general reveals that in the fourth quarter of 2025, despite the volatility of international markets, national crude oil production in Cameroon is projected to reach 20.8 million barrels in 2026, before rising to 22.1 million barrels in 2027. These forecasts point to a gradual rebound, closely linked to the success of upstream investments and the stabilization of operating conditions.

Cameroon’s oil environment is undergoing significant changes and the prospects for recovery point to a gradual upturn in production from 2026 onwards, thanks to the combined effect of ongoing development programmes, the optimisation of mature fields and new wells coming on stream.

Based on this assessment, Mrs Nathalie Moudiki, Adviser No. 2 and Head of the Legal Division at SNH, also indicated that on 1st August 2025, the company launched a new promotion cycle for free blocks in the national oil and gas sector. A total of nine prospective free blocks are being offered through a Call for Expressions of Interest, including six located in the Douala/Kribi–Campo offshore basin, known for its strong geological potential, and three in the Rio Del Rey basin. In the downstream segment, the integrated modular refinery and Kribi Tank Farm project continues to make very encouraging progress.

Overall, SNH’s strategy aims to reinvigorate Cameroon’s upstream oil sector, attract new international investors and secure medium to long-term production. For industry operators, this approach offers reassurance, while underscoring the need for greater transparency and strict compliance with Cameroon’s legal and regulatory framework.

Christmas 2025 at SNH: A Commitment to Social and Environmental Responsibility

In addition to gifts to staff members’ children, the company also made donations to local communities at remote sites, notably in Kribi.

The celebrations began on 19 December in Yaoundé with the traditional Christmas Tree ceremony, during which General Management presented gifts to 544 children of staff members. The event took place in a warm and convivial atmosphere, reflecting the values of unity and commitment upheld by the company under the leadership of Mr Adolphe Moudiki.

For this edition, the Executive General Manager (EGM) increased the budget allocated to the event. This gesture was warmly welcomed by staff, who expressed their deep appreciation for the EGM’s generosity and continued commitment to the well-being of SNH employees and their families.

Beyond the festive dimension, the ceremony also served as a reminder of the core values that guide SNH’s daily operations: excellence, responsibility and cohesion. Christmas at SNH remains an opportunity to celebrate human capital, which stands at the heart of Top Management’s priorities.

The representative of the Executive General Manager at the ceremony took the opportunity to convey Mr Adolphe Moudiki’s wish that the Christmas spirit would extend beyond the company’s head office and into the homes of workers, bringing joy to children and families across all SNH sites.

In line with this vision, the distribution of gifts continued at remote sites, notably in Kribi on Monday, 22 December. More than 200 children received gifts and donations were made to local communities, particularly in Lolabe and Bomono, with the support of TRADEX.

This initiative forms part of the SNH Group’s corporate social responsibility programme, which also includes the development of major energy infrastructure in Kribi, notably the construction of a storage depot and a refinery through the project company CSTAR.

SNH mandates BGFIBANK Cameroon to raise USD 210 million for the CSTAR project

A strategic financial partnership to accelerate the implementation of the project

SNH and BGFIBANK Cameroon signed, on 4 November, a Framework Agreement granting the bank a mandate to mobilise USD 210 million for the CSTAR project. The agreement, signed by Minister Adolphe Moudiki and Mr Abakal Mahamat, marks a major turning point in the implementation of this strategic oil infrastructure.

The CSTAR project involves the construction of a modern refinery with a capacity of 30,000 barrels per day, located near the Kribi Deep Sea Port. With a total estimated cost of USD 621.96 million, the project is expected to create 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.

BGFIBANK will leverage its financial expertise and extensive network to support the structuring of the project’s funding. For SNH, this mandate represents an important step towards the realisation of the President of the Republic’s vision for energy sovereignty and industrial development.

Mr Xing Qinghe, newly appointed President and CEO of Addax Petroleum Cameroon Company (APCC) and CEO of Addax Petroleum Cameroon Limited (APCL), was officially received at SNH by Nathalie Moudiki, representing the Executive General Manager.
