SNH Brings Clean Water to the Pygmies of Namikoumbi

The representative of the Executive General Manager (EGM) of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), Nathalie Moudiki, inaugurated a drinking water borehole provided by Tradex S.A. to the Pygmy encampment of Namikoumbi, located in the Kribi 1er subdivision, on 09 May 2025. A delegation composed of members of the SNH Managemenbt Board, Tradex S.A. personnel, and BGFI Bank agents also participated in the event.

For the representative of the SNH EGM, this donation aims in particular to "contribute to the wellbeing of local populations by significantly reducing their exposure to a number of illnesses linked to poor water quality." The inauguration was a moving occasion, culminating in the distribution of essential food supplies and other necessities to the 55 residents of Namikoumbi.

The chief of Namikoumbi 1st expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the SNH EGM for this borehole, adding that the new water point "will protect the inhabitants of his village from waterborne diseases."

The generosity of SNH was also extended by the EGM's representative to the chiefdoms of Mbeka’a and Bwambe, where she presented gifts to the chiefs of these villages.
